New Look Dugong and Seagrass Research Toolkit Launched

Abu Dhabi, 10 September 2017 – A new look Dugong and Seagrass Research Toolkit was unveiled over the weekend. The Toolkit, a collaboration between Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, TOTAL, Total Abu Al Bukhoosh, and CMS Dugong MOU Secretariat, is a decision-support tool for dugong and seagrass conservation.

The Toolkit was developed by an international team of experts from the CMS Dugong MOU’s Dugong Technical Group. The new look Toolkit can found online at the same website www.conservation.tools. 

By using the Toolkit, researchers are helping to standardise data sets and methods across different countries and sites, allowing for better comparison of global dugong and seagrass conservation status.
