2013/006: New Signatories to the Dugong MOU

The Secretariat of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) in its capacity as Depositary of Memorandum of Understanding on the Conservation and Management of Dugongs and their Habitats throughout their Range (Dugong MOU) is pleased to inform you that:

Bangladesh, Egypt, Somalia and Sudan signed the UNEP/CMS Dugong MOU on 19 February 2013, during the Dugong MOU Second Signatory State Meeting, held in Manila, the Philippines.

This brings the total number of Signatories to 25. The Dugong MOU has been in effect since 31 October 2007.
