2012/002: New Signatory to the Dugong MOU

The Secretariat of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) in its capacity as Depositary of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Conservation and Management of Dugongs (Dugong dugon) and Their Habitats throughout Their Range is pleased to inform you that:

Sri Lanka signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the Conservation and Management of Dugongs and Their Habitats throughout Their Range (Dugong MOU) in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on 31 January 2012.

This brings the total number of Signatories to 21. The MOU has been in effect since 31 October 2007.
